Report is not an online service for emergency calls and it is not manned 24/7.
Report is not a channel for lodging a complaint or making an official report of a specific crime.

The FPS Economy manages the infrastructure of the Report electronic platform.
In case of misuse of Report, the FPS Economy will contact the user concerned and request an explanation. If the user cannot provide any justification or does not respond to the request within the time limit set, their access to Report may be suspended for a period of 6 months. If the user commits similar acts again after a first ban, their access may be denied for a period of one year.
If the user has not entered any contact details in Report, their access to Report may be denied immediately.

If a user illegally appropriates titles, functions or names in the context of a complaint, the facts may also be brought to the attention of the public prosecutor, in application of article 29 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
The cookies on Report allow us to improve the performance of the website and to generate statistics on its use. No personally identifiable information is collected about the visitor.
The Report platform stores language settings (Purpose: to optimise the use of the website by the user).
The Report platform uses Matomo software (Purpose: to analyse how users visit the website, e.g. the number of total visits or the number of visits to a particular page. This information is used to improve the content of Report.)

The partners of Report are committed to preserving and respecting your privacy. This data is saved and stored in Report’s computer system, managed by the FPS Economy. Depending on the issue in question, your data is communicated to one or more competent authorities, partners of Report. The data stored in this way may be used by the FPS Economy and/or its partners in the context of their legal or public service tasks.

The partners of Report define the means to be used, i.e. the data that will be saved, the way in which the complaints will be redirected and allocated to the partners and the persons among these partners who will be able to have access to the stored information.
Each partner remains exclusively responsible for the processing activities concerning them in the framework of their tasks.

Your personal data will never be processed by the partners of Report for commercial or advertising purposes, or transferred to third parties who would use the data for such purposes.
We collect and process some of your personal data (data of the complainant or the intermediary who submits the complaint). In addition, we collect and process certain data relating to the private person or company that is the subject of the complaint or relating to third parties involved in the issue.

Your processed personal data is kept for the time necessary to achieve the purposes for which it is collected, which can vary depending on the circumstances and on the partners of Report concerned.
The Economic Inspection of the FPS Economy, which manages the Report platform, keeps your personal data for a maximum of 10 years from the date of receipt of your complaint. When an investigation file is opened by the Economic Inspection in relation to your complaint, your data will be kept for a maximum of 10 years from the moment this file is closed. In the event of legal proceedings, the maximum retention period of 10 years is extended, if necessary, until the final termination of such proceedings.
Depending on the circumstances, the partners of Report may share personal data with other private (e.g. a subcontractor handling the ICT infrastructure) or public bodies (e.g. supervisory or judicial authorities), provided that this happens within a legal framework and only for the purposes mentioned in point 4.4. of this privacy policy.
Furthermore, your anonymity from the persons involved in the investigation (e.g. the contravener) cannot be guaranteed. It is often impossible to remove all elements identifying the complainant and all personal data relating to them from the file and/or to organise a hearing while guaranteeing the anonymity of the complainant. However, each partner of Report remains subject to the principles of data minimisation and proportionality in the use of data.
In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to ask the FPS Economy:
Report allows you to complete this information by means of a note attached to your complaint. However, it is always possible that personal data in other parts of the file may not be modified.
Furthermore, it is not possible to have a complaint and/or your personal data deleted. The legislation provides for certain limitations to the rights of persons whose personal data are processed. This is the case, for example, with articles XV.10/1 to XV.10/5 of the Code of Economic Law.
